Maintenance Mechanic (12 Hour Night Shift)

Responsibilities

  • Oversees maintenance on all machinery during shift.
  • Trains and assists with set-ups, start-ups, and qualifications.
  • Provides timely repairs, upkeep and preventive maintenance.
  • Ensures that adequate repair parts are stocked.
  • Makes recommendations for equipment improvements.
  • Uses MRO system for removing and returning parts from inventory.
  • Enters all Work Order Requests into automated tracking system.
  • Accurately records and reports information related to Work Order Requests.
  • Troubleshoots molding process, making adjustments to the machine, auxiliary equipment, to produce quality parts.
  • Trains and assists with troubleshooting machines to ensure they function properly and produce quality parts.
  • Trains and assists with troubleshooting auxiliary equipment to ensure it functions properly and produces quality parts.
  • Answers alarms on machines, reaching into machines to remove stuck runners or parts.

Qualifications

  • Experience in industrial maintenance with skills in mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and PLC.
  • Proficient in the use of computers, especially in a work order tracking system and an MRO system.
  • Able to use automated scanning equipment.
  • Can troubleshoot and correct complex mechanical machine issues.
  • Can verify air pressures by gauge, water temperature by gauge, and water pressure by gauge.
  • Can detect and react to water leaks at molds and nozzles.
  • Can detect and prevent product contamination from oil leaks within processing machines.
  • Can detect and identify general locations of air leaks.
  • Working knowledge of material load systems and troubleshooting problems with the load system.
  • Able to work well in a team environment.
  • Able to provide guidance and leadership to peers and production personnel.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a high-speed assembly production environment as a maintenance mechanic.
  • Mechanical aptitude – Strong mechanical aptitude with demonstrated knowledge of troubleshooting and experience in electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and PLCs.
  • Forklift certification – Ability to operate a forklift in a safe manner consistent with OSHA standards.
