About the role

The Maintenance job family is responsible for planning, scheduling, and organizing the efficient operation and performance of work assignments. This position coordinates with various departments to achieve optimum utilization of operational resources and effectively achieve production improvements through industry-standard methodologies. The role supports Maintenance and Operations Material under the day-to-day direction, control, and supervision of WTCC Requirements/Specifications.

Qualifications

Candidates must meet one of the following education and experience combinations:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, construction management, economics, or a related field and 4 years’ experience with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) or similar Inventory Management Systems.
  • Associate’s degree in business, engineering, construction management, economics, or a related field and 6 years’ experience with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) or similar Inventory Management Systems.
  • High School Diploma/GED and 8 years’ experience with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) or similar Inventory Management Systems.

All candidates must possess the ability to perform vital and detailed material control functions and have knowledge of operating activities such as purchasing, requisitioning, expediting, and materials control.

Preferred: Material Management/Procurement experience in the DOE, ISMS, VPP, or Commercial Nuclear environment.

Progression to the next grade is based on the complexity of assignments and performance.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain current training, certification, and development requirements.
  • Review and approve Material Requests (MRS) within CHAMPS to ensure alignment with configuration management control requirements supporting Maintenance and Operations scope.
  • Process Material Service Order Forms (MSOF) as assigned.
  • Catalog CMMS Engineering Spares, Maintenance, and Operations Materials to support the operating plant.
  • Support other parts request administration and inventory support functions.
  • Maintain assigned tracking reports, metrics, and records.
  • Adhere to a published CMMS cataloging standard.
  • Establish equipment Bill of Material (BOM) links to cataloged spares.
  • Administer origination of all Spares Material Requisitions (SCR) to procure spares and services.
  • Track and report expedited spares requisition services, purchase order awards, and delivery status.
  • Receive balance into the CMMS.
  • Initiate Subcontract Field Services Requisition.
  • Perform physical inventory balance, reconciliations, and reporting.
  • Initiate Loss, Damage, Destruction Reports (LDDR) when required.
  • Support department procedure change control as needed.
  • Support the Waste Treatment Plant Nuclear Safety Quality Culture by emphasizing safety and quality in work performance to protect self, others, and the environment.

Work Environment

This position is primarily desk-based, including writing, computer workstation processes, and telephone operation. It involves arranging and performing presentations, oral reports, planning meetings, and other formal and informal contacts, requiring long periods of sitting. The role also includes overseeing field activities through inspections, testing, and equipment operations, which requires walking, standing, bending, and turning, along with wearing personal protective equipment. Occasional loading, transport, and unloading of tools and supplies may be required.

This position is located at the Construction Site (22 miles north of Richland) and follows a 4 x 10 schedule: Monday through Thursday, 6:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Candidates must be authorized to work and remain in the United States without Amentum visa sponsorship now or in the future. Must be able to complete and pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check, including verification of employment and education. Must be able to obtain a Department of Energy badge for access to the Hanford Site. Non-U.S. citizens from countries identified by the Department of Energy as posing heightened security concerns are subject to additional security requirements.

Pay

$101,573.67 - $157,957.21 per year.
