About the role
We are looking for an energetic, creative, and reliable Maintenance Manager on Duty to join the Equinox team. This role is ideal for a candidate eager to make a significant impact in a growing and dynamic organization. The Maintenance MOD leads the maintenance team, supports the Housekeeping Manager, and ensures club and exercise equipment are clean and well-maintained.
Responsibilities
- Train all new and existing staff to Equinox standards.
- Notify the Maintenance Manager of operational issues.
- Assist the Maintenance Manager with club-related special projects (floor cleaning, high dusting, advanced equipment repair, etc.).
- Inspect and maintain all cleaning equipment used by club employees (mop pads, buckets, floor scrubbing machines, ladders, dollies, hand trucks, rags, etc.).
- Inspect and repair all club equipment daily (cardio/strength equipment, cardio theater system, climate control, overhead and studio music systems).
- Demonstrate full knowledge of cleaning supplies and recommended chemicals.
- Manage inventory, restocking, and replacement of maintenance supplies (lighting, locker room supplies, laundry supplies, chemicals, towels, etc.).
- Perform additional projects and responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
- Awareness of what constitutes a clean and sanitary environment.
- Experience with cleaning products.
- Ability to organize work efficiently.
- Ability to service athletic equipment (when applicable).
- Proficiency with hand tools and cleaning equipment.
- Strong teamwork skills.
- Excellent communication with the Maintenance Manager.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
Pay
$20.11/hour
