Maintenance Manager (Grocery) Automation
About the role
Drive and implement the business plan for your area of responsibility to achieve facility goals such as production, quality, and safety, while also implementing operational improvements. Oversee maintenance department daily operations, including monitoring and driving department performance related to maintaining warehouse equipment (e.g., material handling equipment, pneumatic systems, electrical systems, air compressors, ammonia refrigeration equipment, general building repairs). Ensure associate compliance with state and federal regulations (e.g., OSHA, Hazardous Waste, NFPA, Storm Water, DOT) relating to maintenance operations.
Responsibilities
- Communicate with individuals or groups verbally and/or in writing (e.g., customers, suppliers, associates).
- Forecast and follow up on staffing, workload, and performance results to meet business demands.
- Manage assigned financial aspects by monitoring and tracking expenses compared to budget, monitoring asset utilization, and preparing, reviewing, and/or analyzing business reports.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with Logistics and company quality and safety standards, policies, procedures, and directives by developing, distributing, and/or maintaining procedures and supporting documentation.
- Identify and resolve associate, customer, and supplier concerns using own judgment or consulting others when needed.
- Supervise and manage associates and leaders by giving direction, monitoring performance, providing feedback, identifying training and development needs, and offering opportunities for learning and growth.
- Teach, support, and model Logistics and company policies and procedures, and participate in the hiring, promotion, coaching, teaching, and evaluation of associates, leaders, and managers.

Requirements
- Associate’s degree or equivalent technical certification (e.g., Maintenance, Controls, Electrical) and 1 year of experience in an operations, distribution, logistics, or retail environment with responsibilities including supervising and developing managers/supervisors, managing workload across multiple departments, and participating in hiring and promotions.
- OR at least 3 years of experience in a maintenance or related technical environment with the same leadership and staffing responsibilities listed above.
- Associates will be required to attend and successfully complete all job-required trainings and assessments (e.g., Academy trainings, Open Door trainings).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in facility maintenance, financial modeling and analysis, general maintenance, or managing challenging workforce issues.
- Experience with material handling equipment (MHE), modeling/forecasting, preparing and executing budgets, or profit and loss (P&L) accountability.
- Project management experience.
- Experience supervising associates in a Walmart Logistics environment.
- Knowledge of Walmart Logistics Systems or Electrical Science.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Logistics, Management, or Operations Management.

Pay
The annual salary range for this position is $104,000.00 - $156,000.00. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location) and stock.
