Shift Manager Operations
Summary Of Responsibilities
Supervise approximately fifteen (15) hourly bargaining unit personnel per turn and instruct these personnel in job requirements and enforces conformance with both company and department policies.
Lead daily and monthly safety briefings with hourly employees.
Resolve problems created by breakdowns, scheduled changes, metallurgical procedure changes, etc.
Collaborate with other departments and personnel to assure the efficient operations.
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- A high school diploma or GED
- Three (3) years supervisory experience
- Strong leadership and effective management skills
- Ability to evaluate problems and resolve efficiently
- Ability to work rotating shifts in a 24/7 facility
Preferred Qualifications
- A degree in a related field
- General knowledge of the steelmaking process
