PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a leading aerospace parts manufacturer to find an experienced Maintenance Manager who is ready to lead a high-performing maintenance team and drive operational excellence. Responsibilities
- Oversee all maintenance operations across the facility to ensure maximum equipment uptime and reliability for critical manufacturing processes, including CNC machining, Hot and Cold Forging, Thread Rolling, and Centerless Grinding.
- Lead a skilled maintenance team, champion preventative maintenance initiatives, and collaborate across departments to keep production running safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
Equipment Maintenance & Reliability
- Lead the maintenance, repair, and reliability of CNC machines, Hot Forging, Cold Forging, Thread Rolling, and Centerless Grinding equipment.
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve preventative maintenance programs to maximize equipment uptime.
- Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis for mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, PLC, and control system issues.
- Ensure repairs and equipment adjustments meet all safety, quality, and operational standards.
Leadership & Team Development
- Manage, mentor, and develop a high-performing maintenance team through coaching, technical training, and performance development.
- Assign daily priorities and coordinate maintenance activities to support production schedules.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, safety, and continuous improvement.
Planning & Continuous Improvement
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, equipment histories, and preventative maintenance documentation.
- Manage spare parts inventory and vendor relationships to ensure critical replacement parts are readily available.
- Identify opportunities for equipment upgrades, process improvements, and increased operational efficiency.
- Support capital improvement projects, including new equipment installations and major facility upgrades.
Safety & Compliance
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with OSHA, environmental, and aerospace manufacturing standards.
- Lead initiatives to improve machine safety, reduce equipment failures, and minimize operational risk.
- Support internal and external audits with complete and accurate maintenance documentation.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Production, Engineering, and Quality teams to resolve equipment-related issues and improve manufacturing performance.
- Provide technical expertise for equipment selection, facility layout planning, and long-term maintenance strategies.
- Collaborate with leadership on maintenance budgets, KPIs, resource planning, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 7+ years of progressive maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment, including 3+ years in a maintenance leadership role.
- Strong hands-on expertise maintaining CNC machinery, Hot and Cold Forging equipment, Thread Rolling machines, and Centerless Grinders.
- Advanced knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical systems, PLCs, and mechanical equipment.
- Experience developing and managing preventative maintenance programs in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
- Proven leadership skills with experience building, mentoring, and motivating maintenance teams.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and technical manuals.
- Demonstrated success leading projects, managing maintenance budgets, and delivering measurable operational improvements.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Technology, or a related field.
- Experience using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
- Background in aerospace manufacturing or other precision manufacturing industries.
- Experience supporting capital equipment projects and facility expansions.

$90,000.00 per year
