About the role

The Maintenance Manager will be responsible for:

  • Leading daily maintenance operations across a three-shift manufacturing facility.
  • Supervising and developing a team of maintenance technicians and maintenance leadership personnel.
  • Managing preventive and predictive maintenance programs to improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime.
  • Administering and improving CMMS systems used for work orders, maintenance history, spare parts, and asset tracking.
  • Ensuring proper maintenance and operation of manufacturing equipment and facility systems.
  • Implementing equipment modifications related to safety, quality, reliability, and efficiency improvements.
  • Analyzing production and maintenance data to prioritize corrective and preventive actions.
  • Supporting troubleshooting efforts for mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and controls-related issues.
  • Managing capital projects, including scope development, budgeting, scheduling, and execution.
  • Supporting maintenance-related automation and equipment upgrade initiatives.
  • Working closely with operations, engineering, and HR to support production goals and employee development.
  • Managing maintenance budgets, inventory controls, and spare parts programs.
  • Promoting safety initiatives and ensuring compliance with OSHA and company standards.
  • Participating in hands-on maintenance activities as needed to support plant operations.
  • Driving TPM, 5S, Lean Manufacturing, and continuous improvement efforts.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Engineering degree preferred (Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering).
  • 3+ years of supervisory or management experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience leading, training, and developing maintenance personnel.
  • Experience supporting production equipment and facility maintenance operations.
  • Strong understanding of preventive maintenance, predictive maintenance, and reliability programs.
  • Experience utilizing CMMS platforms and maintenance work order systems.
  • SAP experience preferred.
  • PLC troubleshooting experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, TPM, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills involving mechanical, electrical, controls, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Experience managing capital projects and equipment improvement initiatives.
  • Knowledge of safety programs, OSHA requirements, and environmental compliance practices.
  • Strong communication, leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to work within a manufacturing environment and support off-shift maintenance needs when necessary.
  • Forklift trainer certification or ability to obtain certification within established company timelines.
