Position Summary
The Maintenance Manager leads the maintenance program at the Brownsville Plant, ensuring safety and implementing a strategic maintenance plan.
Primary Objectives
- Ensure safety of Lignetics and contract personnel through best safety practices
- Implement a maintenance program based on a solid strategy
- Hire and retain great people, providing them with the tools to reduce unplanned stops at the plant
- Develop a team of craftsmen and a planner
- Manage the implementation and operation of the site's CMMS (MVP)
- Support the planner in the kitting and planning process for both planned and opportunity maintenance
- Maintain the stores systems and ensure parts are on hand as needed
- Develop and manage capital appropriation requests
- Drive improvement in all maintenance systems by supporting the Maintenance Excellence program
- Provide regular reports to the Plant Manager regarding safety and maintenance concerns and projects
- Participate in employee performance management, hiring, disciplinary, and annual/development reviews
- Stand in for the Plant Manager in their absence
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- Technical degree or equivalent industry experience in mechanical and/or electrical maintenance
- Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management systems
- PLC knowledge a plus
- Situational leadership
- Outstanding communication skills
- Time Based/Condition Based maintenance routine development
- Experience with Predictive maintenance tools such as Vibration Monitoring, Thermography, and Oil sampling
- Analytical thinking and outstanding RCA skills
- Solid Project planning & implementation skillset
- Experience developing/implementation/managing TPM programs preferred
- Office and ERP system experience (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Sage) is preferred
