Maintenance Machinist
About the role
The Maintenance Machinist position at Global Connections to Employment (GCE) involves repairing machinery and mechanical/electrical equipment. This role requires diagnosing issues using hand tools and fitting parts.
Responsibilities
- Examine machines and equipment to identify trouble sources
- Dismantle or partially dismantle machines for repairs
- Interface with customers to maintain positive relationships
- Communicate effectively and interact professionally
- Work safely and adhere to all safety requirements and company policies
- Travel to various facilities as needed
- Meet eligibility requirements for work assignments on specified contracts
- Pass organization screening requirements, including background checks
- Possess a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record
- Follow emergency operations work assignments per customer requirements
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Three years of experience in a formal apprenticeship program or equivalent training and experience
- Knowledge of OSHA safety requirements
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work safely and understand all safety requirements and company policy
- Ability to travel and work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform tasks requiring bending, crouching, walking, climbing, reaching, sitting, and lifting
