Maintenance Machinist

About the role

Conover is seeking an hourly Mechanical Maintenance Technician with the ability to provide primary Machinist skills with secondary skills in welding and millwrighting.

Responsibilities

• Provide primary machinist skills with secondary skills in welding and millwrighting
• Use various measurement tools including micrometers, dial calipers, and dial indicators
• Work with all types of metals
• Read and interpret technical documents and drawings
• Troubleshoot effectively
• Read and understand equipment manuals and drawings
• Document repairs and inspections properly
• Use computer skills to look up bill of materials and stores parts, enter work results, and complete work orders
• Apply rigging equipment and techniques
• Measure, lay out, and fabricate repair parts

Requirements

• Ten years of relevant industrial experience at a journeyman machinist level, or
• Five years of relevant industrial or military experience and a two-year technical degree
• Exceptional communication skills
• CNC and Non-CNC machining experience preferred
