Maintenance Lead - Night Shift

Responsibilities

• Adhere to all health and safety policies/procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) in warehouse or production areas (including hairnets/beard nets, safety glasses, hearing protection, steel toe boots and seatbelts while operating forklifts)
• Responsible to adhere to food quality and food safety as per quality standards and/or Safe Quality Food requirements
• Follow department plans and perform complex corrective and preventative maintenance requiring thorough knowledge of mechanical theories and principles
• Ensure all equipment upgrades are compliant with the Occupational Health & Safety Act
• Minimize downtime by ensuring replacement/spare parts are available through proper preventative maintenance management, adhering to manufacturer’s guidelines
• Assist in scheduling maintenance personnel to cover production line maintenance needs
• Contribute to measurable improvements in scheduled, unscheduled and breakdown maintenance downtime and associated costs to meet CPC (cost per case) goals for each plant and share best practices across the enterprise
• Review daily preventative maintenance (PM) sheets and ensure work is being completed
• Review any changes made to production line and make necessary changes to work orders
• Coordinate and address equipment failure in a timely manner to minimize downtime
• Support Electricians and Mechanics with machine issues on the production floor
• Assist in training of Electricians/Mechanics on production equipment and maintain Lockout/Tag out Program
• Coordinate parts requirement with Parts Coordinator
• Participate in Continuous Improvement Projects and support initiatives with technical expertise
