About the role
This is a full-time position with a benefit package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance. The schedule is 2-2-3 nights only, from 5:00pm to 5:00am, with a shift differential and a salary of $30+ based on experience. Apprentice programs are available after 1 year of employment.
Responsibilities
- Support Total Process Reliability through Total Productive Maintenance, General Maintenance, and Project Management
- Operate under little supervision and perform complex Maintenance projects
- Work as a team with other Maintenance Technicians and Production Supervisors
- Lead and coordinate work of other Maintenance Technicians to keep the facility running efficiently and safely
- Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to less experienced Maintenance Technicians
- Develop and manage projects from inception through completion
- Maintain and repair equipment, including intake and processing equipment, distribution equipment, and supporting equipment
- Operate special maintenance equipment, such as welders and grinders
- Install and repair electrical apparatus, pipe systems, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment
- Calibrate pressure and temperature sensors and related equipment
- Program AC drives, chart recorders, pressure sensors, and flow meters
- Perform maintenance and tests on utility equipment and update required logs
- Confer and work with outside vendors for facility or equipment repair
- Lead and mentor the operation of utilities, separator maintenance, and other critical equipment areas
Trouble Shooting & Problem Solving
- Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair equipment to reduce defects and keep it running efficiently
- Analyze the source of problems to determine root causes and diagnose repeat breakdowns or malfunctions
- Confer with plant and quality management, and Associates to help diagnose problems with production or quality
- Troubleshoot PLC programs and hardware
- Monitor all areas of operations and make suggestions to reduce costs
Qualifications
- Ability to understand written or spoken English instructions
- Ability to speak and write in English
- Ability to work with various food products, including pork, dairy, soy, wheat, egg, shellfish, nut products, and fish
- Ability to work individually and as a member of a team
- Demonstrated technical skills and project management skills
