About the Role
Leads contributors and performs a variety of maintenance duties for the entire facility.
Responsibilities
- Ability to perform and fully understand all work within the department
- Demonstrate a high proficiency in at least one trade (e.g., Journeyman level HVAC, Plumbing, Electricity)
- Lead a team of Maintenance contributors in completing high-level projects
- Act as a mentor to junior-level maintenance technicians and teach trade or aspects of the trade
- Work with outside contractors, either directly or indirectly, to complete specific projects
- Assist department supervisor in the safe and efficient operation of the department, ensuring daily requirements are met or exceeded
- Operate motorized industrial equipment
- Participate and occasionally lead department meetings and projects
- Operate within standard operating procedures
- Maintain neat, clean, and well-organized work area
- Ensure employees are trained and have appropriate tools to perform their jobs
- Oversee and perform a wide variety of general building, facilities, and maintenance repairs and services
- Ensure preventative maintenance tasks are completed
- Oversee and ensure the building and grounds are clean
- Assure safety standards are used which comply with all company, local, city, state, and federal guidelines
- Ensure mechanical and physical safeguards are used when performing equipment repair
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related duties that may be outside of assigned priorities
- Other duties as assigned

Requirements
- The ability to read blueprints and/or electrical schematics
- The ability to operate the building’s security and fire suppression systems
- The ability to use basic and complex power tools and instruments
- The ability to operate motorized lift trucks, fork trucks, pallet jacks, and skid steers
- Strong communication, time management, and organization skills
- A general knowledge of Microsoft OS (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)
- Working knowledge of techniques, materials, tools, and equipment used for completion of the described job duties
- Demonstrated leadership qualities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills and ability to motivate others
- Ability to maintain a professional courteous manner with all vendors, contractors, and fellow employees
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Knowledge of methods, accepted practices, considerations, and regulatory requirements associated with safety, environment, and site
- Knowledge of materials used in the maintenance and manufacturing process and of safe practices for physical management of raw and/or hazardous materials
- Valid driver’s license
- Lock out/Tag out training
Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED
- 7+ years of relevant experience
- Previous experience in an industrial maintenance setting strongly preferred
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to properly lift, pack, stack, and wrap up to 50 pounds on a regular basis
Working Conditions
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and use hands to touch, grasp, handle, and feel items.
- Noise level is usually moderate.
- Shop temperature will reach 100 degrees or more consistently during the summer months.
Pay
The US base rate for this full-time position is $33.75–$34.25 per hour, depending on experience. The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will depend on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge and skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal pay equity.
Schedule
Monday–Friday, 2nd shift (2:00 PM–10:30 PM).
