Maintenance Lead - 2nd Shift (Relocation)
Position Summary
The Maintenance Lead position is responsible for supervising and guiding a team of maintenance technicians, managing preventive maintenance and equipment repairs, troubleshooting and resolving complex issues, coordinating with departments, ensuring safety and compliance, and overseeing inventory.
Responsibilities
- Lead the Team: Supervise and guide a team of maintenance technicians, ensuring tasks are completed on time and to standard.
- Oversee Maintenance Operations: Manage preventive maintenance and equipment repairs, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum efficiency.
- Troubleshoot & Resolve Issues: Act as the go-to person for diagnosing and solving complex mechanical and electrical issues.
- Collaborate with Departments: Collaborate with production and other teams to prioritize maintenance needs and reduce disruption.
- Ensure Safety & Compliance: Ensure all safety protocols, policies, and regulatory standards are followed on the job.
- Manage Inventory: Oversee inventory levels and ensure the team has the tools and parts needed for successful repairs and maintenance.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and 1+ years of related experience and/or training in an industrial mechanical maintenance or food manufacturing environment; or 4 years’ direct experience in an industrial mechanical maintenance or food manufacturing maintenance environment.
- Vocational Diploma, Technical Diploma or associate degree from a technical maintenance or vocational school (Preferred).
- Possess the ability to function effectively in a team environment and interact productively with all levels of team personnel and outside contractors.
- Ability to operate a forklift, genie lift or scissor lift or other powered industrial trucks (PIT).
- Attend "Train the Trainer."
- Understand and follow oral and written instructions.
- Ability to read and execute work order, write daily reports, and translate equipment manuals.
