Maintenance L1 Progressive Protein

Responsibilities

• Complete Preventative Maintenance for assigned area, and other areas as requested
• Set up the production floor in respective areas or anywhere else assistance is needed
• Follow orders under high-stress situations to prevent downtime
• Use computers to complete Preventative Maintenance schedules, work orders, and Vector training

Requirements

• Mechanically inclined with strong problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Good communication skills
• Organized with attention to detail
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, stressful environment
• Willingness to learn and take initiative
• Some computer experience

Physical Requirements

• Stand for long periods (4–6 hours continuously)
• Work in awkward positions (e.g., on back, bent over) for prolonged periods
• Work in cold and hot environments
• Lift at least 60 pounds (frequently up to 30 pounds, occasionally up to 50 pounds)
• Bend, stretch, push, pull, and move to reach, clean, and service machinery
• Visually inspect machines
• Carry up to 50 pounds

Work Environment

• Fluctuating conditions (temperature, noise levels)
• Exposure to sharp objects (knives, hooks, steel, saws)
• Loud noise requiring hearing protection at all times
• Required PPE: safety glasses, mesh gloves/aprons, frocks, steel-toed boots, hard hats, face shields, surgical masks, and fall protection in some cases
