Job Requirements
- At least 18 years of age
- Minimum high school graduate, GED, or equivalent work experience
- Eligible for employment in the US
- At least three (3) years of work experience as a Millwright
- Willingness to meet the following requirements:
- Work in industrial conditions (may be warm/hot, dusty/dirty, around hazardous chemicals, noise, heavy machinery, elevated working surfaces, and confined spaces (with proper safety training and safety protection))
- Undergo technical online testing, interview, and a formal hands-on assessment of skills
- Undergo a drug screen for illicit use of drugs as a condition of employment
- Undergo a job-related health assessment as a condition of employment
- Submit to periodic drug screens as a condition of employment
- Work any shift and/or a rotating shift schedule
- Work overtime on a regular basis and with last minute notification
- Work holidays and/or weekends on a regular basis
- Wear required safety equipment
Duties
- Install machine and equipment according to lay-out plan, blueprints and other drawings
- Align machines and equipment using hoists, jacks, hand tools, dial indicators and laser alignment equipment
- Install machinery, new and existing equipment
- Repair and lubricate machine and equipment
- Refurbish/maintain valves, pumps, gear boxes, bearings, agitators, conveyors, turbines, paper machines, lime kiln
- Measure for bearing clearance and shaft diameters
- Troubleshoot equipment reliability issues
- Fabricate structural materials as needed
- Other duties as assigned
About the Role
This position will assist journeymen-level mechanical maintenance technicians in routine maintenance work as well as performing many duties independently.
Skills
- Associates degree or certification(s) in the Millwright discipline
- A minimum of 3 years work experience in the Millwright discipline
- Relevant work experience in an industrial environment
