Primary Responsibilities
- Covers daily operations of the company maintenance stockroom.
- Organizes and tracks inventory to support efficient maintenance activities.
- Coordinates with maintenance staff, vendors, and other plant departments.
- Processes and issues purchase orders to vendors.
- Generates purchase order requisitions or orders for restocking and verification.
- Monitors and signs off on service repairs with forklift providers.
- Manages deliveries of variable items such as chemical, glues, and stretch wrap.
- Communicates with new vendors for quotes, resolves discrepancies, and ensures quality standards.
- Handles invoice receiving, including receiving, sorting, and logging all incoming invoices electronically.
- Maintains an organized digital and physical filing system for financial records.
- Verifies purchase orders and vendor invoices for quantity and pricing accuracy.
- Reviews vendor statements and checks against missing invoices, overpayments, or credit memos.
- Manages vendor set-ups and payments, partnering with Corporate AP for accurate disbursements.
- Evaluates vendor performance, maintains contractor registers, and updates electronic records.
- Ensures compliance with company policies and safety regulations.
- Maintains confined space and hot work permits as required.
- Performs monthly inventory counts of maintenance chemical supplies and updates the database.
- Assists in updating CMMS eMaint inventory and distributing parts to work orders.
- Manages stock levels of parts, reviews trends, and identifies obsolete items.
- Maintains daily organization and cleanliness of parts/inventory room.
- Pick ups and delivers parts as needed.
Education And Experience
- A high school diploma or GED.
- Valid Driver license.
- 1-2 years of inventory experience.
- Basic computer skills – using MS Outlook Mail, MS Word, and MS Excel.
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision, working in a team environment.
Additional Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the food/beverage industry.
- Previous experience in Manufacturing or production environment.
- Consultative, influential, strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Previous inventory control experience.
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions
- Frequent: Ability to talk and hear; ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, stoop, bend, and/or crouch; push/pull; lift up to 50 pounds; use of hands and fingers to operate machinery/equipment and all manual and electronic equipment in area of responsibility; exposure to wet and humid conditions and fluctuations in ambient temperature (seasonal).
- Occasional: Squatting, kneeling, ability to reach above and at shoulder height; ability to wear a dust mask, and perform Confined Entry using LOTO program; exposure to toxic and corrosive chemicals.
- Vision: Ability to use close and distance vision, as well as color and peripheral vision with or without correction; must be able to visually detect obstacles and potential dangers in a fast-paced production environment involving high-speed equipment and powered industrial lift equipment.
- Hearing: Ability to hear in the normal audio range with or without correction; exposure to noise levels from pumps, machinery, forklift traffic, bottle lines, and exhaust fans.
