Pay

Wage Range: $33.14 – $43.26 per hour. Posted ranges represent the minimum of the lowest level and the maximum of the highest level. Additional premiums may be offered based on shift, certifications, or degrees. Job offers are determined based on years of relevant experience, level of education, and internal equity.

Job Summary

Performs routine repairs and maintenance to the building, requiring a strong mechanical aptitude and building construction knowledge to complete assigned tasks and routine repairs.

Primary Duties

• Repair and maintain surfaces in the facility safely and efficiently, including patching, priming, painting, wall cover, Formica, floor covering, cove base, and ceiling tile.
• Operate, maintain, repair, and clean equipment and systems as necessary.
• Troubleshoot problems and access equipment or systems needing repair, which may involve entering crawl spaces, ceiling spaces, air plenums, and removing items such as plumbing, fixtures, motors, and pumps (some weighing over 60 lb).
• Determine the proper course of action and implement repairs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

License, Certification, Education or Experience

Required:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of and ability to safely operate manual and power hand tools, often in difficult locations and positions.
• At least 3 years of maintenance, carpentry, or painting experience.
• Current Washington State driver’s license.
• Maintenance vocational/technical coursework can substitute for up to one year of experience.

Desired:

• Healthcare facility maintenance experience.
