Maintenance I-Laborers (seasonal)

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED
• Experience and training in one or more of department skill areas: mowing, grounds maintenance, fencing, playground maintenance, machining, welding, landscaping, equipment operation, asphalt
• Knowledge of standard practices, tools, and terminology
• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively without constant supervision
• Knowledge of occupational hazards, safety precautions, hazardous materials, and proper ways to perform assigned tasks
• Must be in good physical condition and able to lift 100 pounds and pass a pre-employment physical
• Ability to perform work independently and dependably according to prescribed standards and technical procedures
• Ability to work in varied weather and temperature conditions and to work from heights

Responsibilities:

• Performs maintenance work with varied levels of skill in order to effectively maintain the District's buildings, grounds, and equipment in a timely manner.
• Performs related duties as assigned.
