Maintenance Helper

Job Description

Affords assistance to Mechanics, Electricians, and Electromechanical personnel in their duties, such as changing light bulbs, performing basic equipment inspections, and preventative maintenance on equipment (e.g., recording gauge readings; simple lubrication tasks).

Lifts and moves supplies manually and using a forklift.

• Performs general cleaning tasks and snow removal, as needed.
• Moves office furniture.
• Sweeps and scrubs floors, as required (may involve stripping and waxing floors).
• Dusts desks or equipment and cleans windows.
• Empties waste baskets, scrap cans, or scrap boxes.
• Cleans up after transporting scrap to proper bins.
• Cleans lavatories, toilets, and urinals.
• Restocks supplies of soap, paper towels, drinking cups, and toilet paper.

Conducts janitorial work necessary in support of plant operations.

Adheres to all safety protocols.

Works in potentially hazardous environments.

Requirements

A High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
