Maintenance/Handyman

About the role

We are seeking a reliable Maintenance Person or Handyman to join our team. You will perform repairs, identify the need for repairs, respond to maintenance requests across different locations, and maintain an excellent level of professionalism. We are looking for someone who is highly skilled, trustworthy, hard-working, and possesses excellent problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and identify the need for repairs while maintaining professionalism
• Availability for on-call, after-hours, and weekend maintenance calls
• Repair major and minor issues, including painting, patching, plumbing, electrical, and structural issues in a timely manner
• Troubleshoot and install appliances
• Install equipment and appliances
• Respond to pending maintenance requests professionally
• Inspect properties and photograph work needed and completed
• Identify and report maintenance issues while in the field
• Maintain a clean and safe workspace
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Use equipment, including power tools, hand tools, electric tools, and plumbing tools
• Travel between locations as required

Requirements

• Handle physical demands of the job, including standing, bending, pulling, pushing, climbing, and lifting at least 50 pounds
• At least 1-3 years of experience in maintenance & repair, construction, or similar work
• Knowledge of construction, plumbing, and electrical systems
• Excellent communication skills, including fluency in email and text message communication
• Ability to prioritize tasks and follow directions meticulously
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

Qualifications

• 1+ year of building maintenance, construction, plumbing, or electrical experience preferred
