Responsibilities
- Maintain and promote Tyson’s safety culture.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on plant equipment and machinery.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and plumbing systems.
- Repair and replace motors, pumps, bearings, shafts, conveyors, augers, couplings, steam and water lines.
- Perform welding, cutting, fabrication, and minor electrical repairs.
- Read and interpret equipment manuals, drawings, and schematics.
- Monitor equipment performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and modifications.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and complete required documentation.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, lifts, forklifts, and other maintenance equipment as trained and certified.
- Support emergency repairs and respond to equipment breakdowns to minimize production interruptions.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by maintenance leadership.
Requirements
- Must have 1 year of maintenance experience within the immediate past 2 years.
- The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
Qualifications
- This facility will not accept applicants that have worked for Tyson Foods more than 3 times.
- This facility accepts rehires after 365 days.
