Maintenance Generalist Lead, All Shifts, Obion County

About the role

This position is responsible for assisting the Supervisor in coordinating the daily responsibilities of the department by ensuring the Supervisor’s instructions are communicated to the team members and carried out timely and correct manner. This position is also responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson's policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Supervisor in coordinating daily responsibilities and ensuring instructions are communicated and carried out.
• Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson's policies and procedures.
• Demonstrate ability to work well with team members at all levels and set an example for others in policy areas (hygiene to safety).
• Safely participate in maintenance testing/hands‑on in the following areas: Maintenance Fundamentals/Troubleshooting, Inspection, Welding, Print Reading/Schematics, Pneumatics, Hydraulics, Machine Shop Tool Practices/Technology, Electrical Systems, Electronics, PLCs/Logic/VFDs, Robotics, Plumbing/Pipefitting, Power Transmissions, and Mechanical Skills.
• Perform safely repairs and preventative maintenance of all plant equipment.
• Direct Maintenance team members in the absence of a supervisor.
• Delegate and assign tasks/projects to the Maintenance crew as directed by the supervisor.
• Be organized and detail oriented.
• Perform essential job functions to standard within 20 days.
• Observe and comply with hygiene and safety procedures.
