Maintenance Generalist Cut Up (1st or 2nd Shift) Humboldt Plant

About the Role

This position is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Keep machinery running to maintain continuous production.
• Set up, adjust, and break down production line machinery.
• Learn Tyson SAP software to make work orders and fill out daily documentation.
• Communicate effectively with Team Members, producers, USDA personnel, and drivers.
• Perform math computations for machinery, fluid capacities, etc.
• Lift 50 lbs. periodically throughout the shift and work on feet for 12 hours.
• Complete all required training for the job.

Requirements

• Minimum of 6 months of mechanic work experience or graduation/enrollment in an industrial maintenance training program.
• Knowledge in industrial hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical, electronics, plumbing, and welding.
• Strong electronic skill set.
• Ability to work long hours, climb stairs and ladders, and tow a water hose.

Physical Demands

• Regularly required to stand, use hands, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear.
• Frequently required to walk, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Occasionally required to sit.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 125 pounds.

Other Hiring Criteria

• Minimum of 6 months of mechanic work experience or graduation/enrollment in an industrial maintenance training program.
• Rehires accepted, but ineligible if worked for Tyson Foods 3 or more times.
• 90-day rehire waiting period.
