Maintenance Generalist C (1st shift) Green Forest Plant 1

About the Role

This position is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. The role ensures equipment is kept in good working condition.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventative maintenance repairs
• Conduct preventing maintenance
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic plant equipment
• Minimize downtime due to equipment failure
• Support production in addressing equipment problems during shift
• Handle all mechanical problems that may arise
• Ensure work area is clean at all times
• Maintain accurate record keeping and attention to detail

Requirements

• Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 20 pounds repeatedly during shift
• Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 75 pounds occasionally
• Ability to stand on hard surfaces for up to 12 hours per day
• Repetitive bending, reaching, squatting, and gripping
• Frequent overhead work
• Basic math skills: percentages, fractions, and measurements
• Lock Out Tag Out certification required
• Minimum 1 year of mechanical work experience documented in work history or graduation from an industrial maintenance training program (combined experience accepted)
