Maintenance Generalist - B Shift (Nights) - RVI Forest, MS

Description

This position is responsible for general maintenance throughout the plant while adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

Tasks:

• Must be able to use basic hand tools.
• Perform various positions as required/assigned.

Requirements

• Must have at least 1 year of maintenance/mechanical experience and 6 months of continuous employment in the last 2 years.

Qualifications

• Basic mechanical or maintenance skills.
• Knowledge in areas of welding, hydraulics, basic electricity, power transmission, pneumatics & plumbing.
• Experience in welding and industrial maintenance.
• Able to read & understand assignments, communicate orally & in writing, hear/respond to two-way radio, lift 50 pounds, climb stairs and ladders up to 60 feet, stand for long periods of time, withstand extreme hot, cold, inclement weather & odors, use various electrical & pneumatic power tools & equipment.
• Respirator qualified.

• Removing, replacing motor shafts, couplings, pumps, augers, water & steam pipes, lines, & systems.

Base Pay: $20.70 to $29.60 base pay depending on experience.
