Maintenance Generalist

Qualifications
High School Diploma or Equivalent required (Individuals hired into the position prior to January 1, 2003, will be grandfathered with existing education).
1 Year Maintenance in commercial or industrial environment required. 1 Year in a Healthcare environment preferred.
DL - Driver’s License Upon Hire required. CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training Maintained Annually 90 Days required.
Skills
- Proficient in the use of computerized systems for all aspects of job performance.
- Ability to perform basic building maintenance functions to include painting and general repairs.
- Working knowledge of basic hand/ power tool operation.
- The ability to recognize and solve practical problems or issues.
- Ability to communicate maintenance problems to hospital departments and departmental supervisors.
- Ability to work in extreme temperatures.
- Ability to work unsupervised and in teams.
- Excellent written, verbal, and listening skills.
- Ability work nights, weekends, and/or holidays.
Responsibilities
Provide basic building repair and maintenance support including, but not limited to, general mechanical repairs, painting, electrical, plumbing, customer requests, grounds, and the like utilizing the computerized maintenance management system.
Participate in hospital and departmental safety programs, education opportunities, and related training.
