Maintenance Generalist - 3rd Shift - Newbern, Tn

About the role

This position will be responsible for multiple tasks relating to troubleshooting, repair, fabrication, and preventive maintenance of all feed mill equipment. Responsibilities include maintaining and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical or electrical malfunctions
• Prepare written documentation of actions taken to correct equipment problems
• Respond to mechanical or electrical breakdowns and handle emergency situations
• Perform preventive maintenance according to schedule
• Complete appropriate paperwork and reports
• Comply with lockout/tagout, confined space, and all other safety programs
• Perform mechanical and basic electrical troubleshooting and repairs
• Diagnose and repair equipment without supervision
• Start all equipment before production startup and shutdown without supervision
• Assist other mechanics as needed
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Minimum 6 cumulative months of industrial maintenance experience or equivalent training

Sunday – Friday, 11:00 pm – 7:30 am
