Maintenance Fleet Supervisor

About the role

The Maintenance Fleet Supervisor independently supervises Mechanical Diesel Technicians, engaging in the maintenance, repair, and servicing of mass transit vehicles on an assigned shift. The supervisor ensures maintenance activities are carried out safely, effectively, and efficiently to provide timely, safe, and cost-effective transportation to the public, reports directly to the Maintenance Manager, and provides exemplary customer service to internal and external customers through effective communication and performance management.

Responsibilities

• Schedules and assigns work to Technicians as well as shift assignments.
• Inspects and supervises work in progress, ensuring all jobs are executed according to Agency repair standards and that all units released to the Transportation Department are clean and safe for service.
