Maintenance Facilities Supervisor
About the role
The Maintenance & Facilities Supervisor is responsible for the overall maintenance, repair, appearance, safety, and functionality of the Lancaster office and surrounding grounds. This position performs hands‑on building maintenance while coordinating preventive maintenance, vendor services, and facility improvement projects to ensure a safe, clean, and professional work environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, drywall, doors, locks, lighting, and HVAC coordination.
- Maintain the corporate office, parking lots, sidewalks, landscaping, and outdoor areas.
- Coordinate seasonal grounds‑keeping activities such as snow removal, lawn care, and landscaping services.
- Conduct preventative maintenance inspections and maintain maintenance records.
- Coordinate and oversee contractors and vendors for specialized repairs and facility projects.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and building emergencies.
- Monitor facility systems and recommend capital improvements and repairs.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, safety, environmental, and building regulations.
- Manage maintenance supplies, equipment, and facility‑related budgets as assigned.
- Support office moves, furniture assembly, event setup, and other facilities‑related needs.
- Supervise facilities staff or contractors as assigned and prioritize daily work activities.
- Oversee general office cleaning and janitorial services, including supervising janitorial staff or contractors and coordinating supplier‑provided training as needed.
- Perform occasional janitorial duties based on operational needs.
- Monitor the facility’s energy management system (EMS), identify and report issues, and coordinate with the EMS contractor as needed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; technical, trade school, or vocational training in facilities maintenance or a related field preferred.
- 5+ years of building maintenance, facilities, or property maintenance experience, including coordinating contractors and performing a broad range of building repairs.
- Experience with general office cleaning and janitorial supervision, as well as monitoring an energy management system (EMS), preferred.
- Previous supervisory experience preferred.

- Knowledge of building systems, basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, HVAC coordination, and grounds maintenance.

Working Conditions
Frequent standing, walking, bending, climbing ladders, lifting up to 50 pounds, operating maintenance equipment and power tools, and working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions. Must be available to respond to urgent facility issues as needed.
Pay
Salary range: $75,000 – $85,000. Compensation may vary based on experience, skills, training, knowledge, education, and overall qualifications.
