About the role
The Maintenance Supervisor will supervise employees and lead daily production operations and coordination activities of work teams. This role works closely with other team leaders to provide resources, ongoing work direction, decision-making, and problem-solving to ensure the safe delivery of a quality product on time to internal and external customers. Responsibilities include achieving safety excellence, promoting a proactive safety culture, supervising and assigning maintenance personnel, scheduling preventive maintenance, troubleshooting machine breakdowns, allocating resources, and communicating uptime expectations with the plant management team.
Responsibilities
- Executes the daily production schedule through the utilization of people, material, machine, and processes to meet customer requirements, schedule compliance, and cost objectives.
- Works with other team leaders and employees to ensure production processes support the production plan and customer requirements.
- Ensures appropriate quality checks, preventive maintenance (PMs), and audits are performed by operators to provide product and process quality.
- Responsible for employee job training, performance management, wage and contract administration, discipline, policies and procedures, attendance and vacation schedules, labor reporting, and inventory accuracy.
- Develops and implements improvements in throughput, cycle time, and inventory reduction.
- Coordinates process problems involving deviation from standard conditions.
- Manages small but potentially complex projects or phases of larger projects to ensure milestone completion within budget.
- Allocates resources and assigns tasks to meet project objectives.
- Tracks performance and progress against projected timelines and resolves unique problems to minimize delays.
- Prepares regular reports to communicate project status.
Requirements
- 5 years’ experience in a maintenance or project management role.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Previous experience in a team leadership role strongly preferred.
- Excellent verbal communication skills at all organizational levels.
- Understanding of Lean Principles and/or Six Sigma application and usage.

Pay
Annual base salary range: $75,700.00 - $156,200.00. Compensation is tailored to factors such as seniority, merit, geographic location, education, experience, travel requirements, and union designation.
Schedule
On-site (5 days per week).
