About the role
The selected individual will support the maintenance and facilities department through a variety of technical and administrative tasks.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain a database for the maintenance program.
- Assist in creating and updating work instructions.
- Participate in plant mapping and equipment evaluations.
- Schedule and track preventative maintenance activities.
- Conduct equipment research, including finding serial numbers.
- Perform item research as needed.
- Track work orders and provide updates on progress.
- Provide support to the maintenance and facilities staff.
- Assist in mapping and layout planning.
- Other duties as assigned to support the maintenance and facilities department.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Enrollment in a related degree program at an accredited college or university preferred.
- Passionate about aerospace, engineering, or facilities management; specific interest in maintenance and facilities management is a plus.
- Strong computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Office Suite and AutoCAD; proficiency in Excel is highly preferred.
- Ability to work independently or with a team, learn new tasks, handle multiple tasks, solve problems, meet deadlines, and show strong self-motivation and initiative.
- Good organizational skills for tracking work orders and maintenance schedules; attention to detail for tasks such as finding equipment serial numbers.
- Strong communication skills to interact with maintenance and facilities staff.
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic environment.
- Ability to commit to a minimum of 6 months.
- Possession of a valid driver’s license.
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds.
- Must be a U.S. citizen, U.S. national, lawful permanent resident, temporary resident, refugee, or asylee.
Pay
$21 – $24 per hour.
