Maintenance Engineer Intern
Principal Responsibilities
- Receive work assignments, prioritize tasks, and obtain the necessary tools, equipment, and materials to complete work efficiently.
- Complete assigned work orders, preventive maintenance activities, and required documentation accurately and on time.
- Perform or assist with preventive maintenance inspections and services in accordance with established maintenance programs.
- Respond to tenant service requests and complete repairs while maintaining accurate maintenance records.
- Maintain daily logs of maintenance activities, inspections, and operational events.
- Communicate building conditions, operational status, and maintenance issues to the appropriate stakeholders, escalating concerns as needed.
- Help maintain the overall appearance, safety, and operational efficiency of the property.
- Build positive relationships with tenants through proactive communication, timely follow-up, and exceptional customer service.
- Gain exposure to and assist with the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems, including HVAC equipment and building automation/control systems.
- Aid in preventive maintenance and basic troubleshooting of MEP and HVAC systems under the guidance of experienced engineers.
- Review construction drawings and support project coordination activities.
- Assist with asset tagging initiatives and the implementation of computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS), including preventive maintenance database updates.
