Maintenance Engineering Technician

About the role

This on-site (5 days per week) position supports the Maintenance Department by performing daily tasks, improving processes, and enhancing efficiency. You’ll collaborate with teams to develop standard work, preventive maintenance improvements, and training content while identifying better ways to support direct-production customers.

Responsibilities

• Participates in department safety systems and processes (Connect and Engage, Concern Reporting, Daily Improvement, 5S).
• Engages in department and site Continuous Improvement Activities using various improvement methods.
• Develops and maintains Preventive Maintenance (PM) Instructions and Forms using Op Ex skills (standard work observations, time studies, etc.).
• Attaches/uploads completed PM records to Apriso work orders.
• Assists with converting Preventive Maintenance findings into action plans for equipment improvement (PM follow-up work order planning).
• Administers PM auditing program.
• Identifies and develops more efficient ways for the Maintenance Department to support production customers.
• Improves the efficiency and effectiveness of all Maintenance Department activities.

Requirements

• Two-year technical degree or equivalent certification/work experience.
• Proficient in Outlook, Excel, and Word.
• Able to author Technical Instructions based on Work Observations.
• Familiarity with Mechanical and Electrical systems and principles.
• Understanding of Lockout-Tagout, Electrical Safety, and Machine Guarding.
• Experience with Op-Ex/Lean Principles is preferred.
• Experience with Maintenance activities is preferred.

Pay

Hourly base pay range: $26.07 - $30.46. Compensation is tailored to factors such as seniority, merit, geographic location, education, experience, travel requirements, and union designation.
