Maintenance Engineering Technician
Production Maintenance
Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on material-handling equipment (conveyors, wrappers, sealers, automated systems, forklifts).
Maintain parts inventory and detailed service records.
Troubleshoot equipment issues, replace worn components, and keep machinery properly lubricated.
Address equipment-related safety concerns in partnership with the safety manager.
Cook up preventive maintenance schedules and support new equipment setup or modifications.
Keep shop areas, tools, and maintenance vehicles clean and organized.
Work with outside contractors as needed and support other maintenance tasks as assigned.
Facility Maintenance
Performing routine maintenance and general repairs around the building such as fixing structural damage, windows, doors, wall repair including painting, locks, access control and security cameras, plumbing fixtures, HVAC systems and other facility related items.
Inspect equipment and facilities to identify maintenance and repair requirements, hazards, code violations, and priorities.
Respond to emergency and non-emergency service calls, diagnose problems, and make minor repairs or utilize outside vendors when necessary.
Estimate and procure compatible materials and tools required to perform maintenance, repair, and construction-related functions.
Absolutely ensure adherence to quality standards and OSHA regulations and assist the safety team when needed.
Requirements
- Experience as a Production Maintenance Technician, with skills in automation, light electrical, carpentry, plumbing, and general maintenance.
- Forklift certification required; experience with boom/scissor lifts preferred.
- Ability to read blueprints, wiring schematics, and technical manuals.
- Comfortable using CMMS software and basic mobile/PC technology.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to multitask.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or trades certificate is required.
- OSHA 10 required; OSHA 30 preferred.
- Forklift certification.
Pay
The salary range for this role is $32 to $36/hr. This range is applicable for jobs performed in the Eastern and Central Time Zones. An employee’s pay position within the pay range will be based on several factors including relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, and business organizational needs.
