About the role

The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for directing the resources of the Maintenance Department to keep the facility and equipment running at peak performance. This includes evaluating equipment and processes, coordinating repairs, using CMMS systems, reviewing and assigning work, and ensuring quality and cleanliness of completed work.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and develop a Maintenance Team across multiple shifts, including 12-hour weekend shifts with varying skill levels.
  • Supervise 2nd shift 7 technicians and 3rd shift 4 technicians.
  • Cover other shifts when the 1st shift Supervisor is off.
  • Conduct Safety, Environmental, and Operational training with the team.
  • Perform Safety and Environmental Audits.
  • Perform Equipment Effectiveness Audits.
  • Manage the CMMS system, develop PMs, assign corrective and preventive work orders, and perform audits on work completed.
  • Manage material handling applications (Dematic EMS and Beumer BeOS).
  • Work with other departments to synchronize maintenance and safety-related requests.
  • Coordinate contracted labor.
  • Collaborate with 1st shift Maintenance Supervisor, Supply Coordinator, Controls Engineer, and Reliability Technician on any current or upcoming projects or maintenance activities.
  • Collaborate with Safety, Environmental, and Training personnel to ensure the Facility and Maintenance Staff are compliant and up to date on requirements.

Requirements

  • Required Education/Certification: High School Diploma, Associates degree in Electrical, Electronic, Engineering or related field, or combination of education and work experience.
  • Years of Experience: 5 – 7 years of industrial maintenance experience, 2 – 3 years of Supervision experience preferred.
  • Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
    • Well-experienced in the general maintenance of mechanical equipment and systems found in a warehouse or similar industrial or manufacturing environment.
    • Working knowledge of PLC’s, variable frequency drive systems, hydraulics and pneumatics.
    • Must possess working knowledge of repairs, maintenance, and PM for warehouse or manufacturing systems.
    • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematic drawings. CAD experienced preferred.
    • Prominent level of analytic ability, and effective problem-solving skills.
    • Familiarity with infrared scan, risk assessment, fire and sprinkler, fire pumps, and lock out/tag out processes.
    • SCADA control system experience preferred (Wonderware, Factory Talk View, Dematic EMS).
