Maintenance Engineer/Analyst - Plant Vogtle

Summary of Job Duties:

  • Implementation and support of various maintenance programs
  • Problem identification, investigation, evaluation, and resolution
  • Evaluation and implementation of industry operating experience
  • General engineering and technical support to maintenance teams

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Engineering support and direction for maintenance activities
  • Aid in resolving emergent issues
  • Coordinate with vendors for proper product supply or services
  • Support and participate in cross-functional efforts to resolve operation and equipment issues
  • Act as a project manager
  • Resolve problems encountered by craft during day-to-day work activities
  • Coordinate with System Engineering and off-site Engineering to resolve equipment problems due to design issues
  • Implement and support various programs
  • Support the Emergency Response Organization

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an ABET accredited school or PE license preferred
  • Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering degrees preferred
  • 2 years of related experience in industrial manufacturing or utility required
  • 5 years of related experience in industrial manufacturing or utility preferred
  • Knowledge of air-operated and motor-operated valves preferred
  • Knowledge of welding and ASME code preferred
  • Ability to solve problems and make sound engineering decisions based on experience and appropriate industry practices
  • Technical writing ability, computer knowledge, good communication skills, and good presentation skills required
  • Project oversight or supervisory experience desired
