Maintenance Engineer/Analyst - Plant Vogtle
Summary of Job Duties:
- Implementation and support of various maintenance programs
- Problem identification, investigation, evaluation, and resolution
- Evaluation and implementation of industry operating experience
- General engineering and technical support to maintenance teams
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Engineering support and direction for maintenance activities
- Aid in resolving emergent issues
- Coordinate with vendors for proper product supply or services
- Support and participate in cross-functional efforts to resolve operation and equipment issues
- Act as a project manager
- Resolve problems encountered by craft during day-to-day work activities
- Coordinate with System Engineering and off-site Engineering to resolve equipment problems due to design issues
- Implement and support various programs
- Support the Emergency Response Organization
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an ABET accredited school or PE license preferred
- Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering degrees preferred
- 2 years of related experience in industrial manufacturing or utility required
- 5 years of related experience in industrial manufacturing or utility preferred
- Knowledge of air-operated and motor-operated valves preferred
- Knowledge of welding and ASME code preferred
- Ability to solve problems and make sound engineering decisions based on experience and appropriate industry practices
- Technical writing ability, computer knowledge, good communication skills, and good presentation skills required
- Project oversight or supervisory experience desired
