Maintenance Engineer II
About the role
The Maintenance Engineer II position at Ryan Companies is located in Minneapolis. This role is responsible for executing and completing preventive maintenance, demand repairs, general repairs, and adjustments to the building systems, equipment, and fixtures.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance tasks and duties on building equipment and systems per scheduled date.
- Manage and/or assist subcontractors with preventive maintenance, repairs, and projects occurring on building systems, equipment, or property.
- Respond, evaluate, and complete tenant/service demand requests as ordered.
- Work with the property manager and lead engineer to ensure proper services are provided to the building(s), project planning and completion, tenant improvement planning and coordination, maintain mechanical rooms, utility rooms, and vacant areas in a neat and clean condition daily, monitor energy system equipment, adjust set-points as needed, record actions and time associated daily, ensure Fire/Life/Safety equipment is performing as designed, participate in on-call, after-hours, and weekend rotation, complete Ryan required training and safety programs.
Requirements
- Ability to properly troubleshoot MEP system failures and make needed repairs and/or devise workable solutions.
- Comprehensive knowledge of energy management systems.
- Strong computer skills.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Minimum five years experience in building maintenance or related field.
- Regional or local licensing/certifications to operate a building.
- High School Degree or equivalent.
- Two-year technical degree or equivalent in the operation of commercial buildings and equipment.
- Skill in Universal CFC (required).
- SMA, SMT, LEED certification, others as applicable preferred.

Pay
The annual salary range (non-exempt) is $75,000.00 - $90,000.00. The base rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills and abilities.
