Maintenance Engineer Part Time- Holiday Inn Oceanside Virginia Beach, Virginia

Schulte Hospitality Group is seeking an energetic, experienced, and hands‑on Maintenance Engineer to join our team. Responsibilities

• Oversee the property grounds, public areas, and hotel guest rooms.
• Conduct preventative maintenance to prevent breakdowns in hotel accommodations.
• Paint, replace electrical accessories, and maintain HVAC systems.
• Check fixtures, lighting, and signs for proper operation; maintain an adequate supply of spare parts and light bulbs.
• Respond to maintenance orders in a timely manner and fulfill work orders promptly.
• Complete daily rounds, identifying and reporting problems.
• Perform various other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

• Minimum of two (2) years in a hotel maintenance position (preferred).
• One (1) year of college or trade‑school equivalent in mechanical, electrical, or technical disciplines (preferred but not required).
• In‑depth knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general carpentry.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Basic math skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Ability to exceed expectations of guests and team members.
• Excellent time‑management skills.

Physical Demands

The role requires prolonged periods of standing and walking, the ability to bend, stretch, push, pull, and move as needed to reach, clean, and service machinery, visual inspection of machines, and lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds. Pay

Compensation range: $17.00 – $17.50 per hour.
