Maintenance Engineer - Moundsville WV

Join CertainTeed as a Maintenance Engineer and play a crucial role in enhancing plant reliability and efficiency. Utilize World Class Manufacturing (WCM) techniques to investigate and solve reliability issues while supporting maintenance teams and strategic initiatives. CertainTeed, headquartered in Malvern, Pennsylvania, is a leading North American brand of exterior and interior building products with over 6,300 employees and 60+ manufacturing facilities in the U.S. and Canada. This position is located at the Moundsville CertainTeed Gypsum Plant in Proctor, West Virginia.

Responsibilities

• Plan, evaluate, and implement maintenance and repair activities to ensure minimal downtime and maximum safety.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement sustainable solutions to enhance plant reliability.
• Collaborate with maintenance teams to develop preventive maintenance strategies and support Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) efforts.
• Ensure all projects meet WCM/Early Equipment Management (EEM) standards and maintain accurate records in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Proven experience in maintenance engineering, with a strong understanding of blueprints, schematics, and equipment reliability.
• Minimum 1 year of hands‑on experience or equivalent training in maintenance or engineering.

Skills

• Excellent problem‑solving abilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
• Experience with AutoCAD and P&ID is a plus.
