Maintenance Engineer FT

About the role

At Rand Tower, Minneapolis, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel, we are seeking a Maintenance Engineer to join our dynamic team. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to the exceptional service and memorable experiences provided to each guest.

Responsibilities

• Performs general maintenance of building and facility mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Performs general electrical repairs on appliances, house wiring, and air conditioning systems, switches, fixtures, and motors.
• Makes repairs on plumbing fixtures, piping, drains, and sanitary systems.
• Performs general mechanical maintenance on pumps, compressors, water heaters, automotive equipment, and other miscellaneous equipment.
• Keeps records as required by company policy and procedures.
• Maintains logs on completed tasks.
• Presents reports as requested by supervisors.

Requirements

• Experience working in a Maintenance role at a hotel or resort.
• Knowledge of household repairs (cabinetry, electrical, plumbing, etc.).
• An engaging and welcoming personality.
• A strong attention to detail.
• The ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• A passion for creating an exceptional experience for all guests.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Availability to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Valid first aid and CPR certification.
