Maintenance Engineer

About the role

The Maintenance Engineer at St Michael Medical Center is a critical technical leader responsible for ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and longevity of facilities, equipment, and systems.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement preventive maintenance programs
• Conduct root cause analyses and develop repair strategies
• Oversee projects, manage budgets, ensure compliance, and collaborate to improve efficiency and operational integrity
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on all mechanical/electrical equipment
• Perform routine repairs and preventive maintenance for required equipment
• Maintain tools and/or equipment for safe operating condition
• Coordinate with administration and other trades for project completion
• Perform a variety of building maintenance tasks including skilled trades as required
• Complete and maintain accurate records and logs
• Test and evaluate equipment before putting into service
• Order and receive parts and materials for necessary repairs

Requirements

• Three years of recent, progressively responsible maintenance-related work experience
• One year of work experience in the core level of the job family

Preferred

• Boiler Operator: WA, upon hire
