Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Support repairs and maintenance of facilities operating 24/7.
  • Work with outside contractors, including electricians, plumbers, drywall contractors, painters, HVAC and general construction contractors, for facility upgrades and equipment installation.
  • Detect and report the need for facility remodels and major equipment and maintenance repairs.
  • Propose replacement and/or upgrades to existing machinery, as appropriate.
  • Ensure all repairs and projects are completed to quality expectations in a safe and timely manner.
  • Perform maintenance tasks, including basic electrical/lighting, plumbing and safety system repairs, painting, filling crevices, replacing ceiling tiles and flooring, cleaning facilities, equipment and general facility maintenance and repairs.
  • Respond to leadership, operations and store manager maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Conduct performance assessments of company appliances, such as refrigerators, microwaves, stoves, ovens and coffee makers.
  • Perform general warehouse duties, including stock management, forklift operation, picking, receiving, safety audits, cleaning and facilities management.
  • Other work related duties, as assigned.

    Minimum Experience & Educational Requirements

    • Graduate from high school or equivalent.
    • Approved apprenticeship or trade school graduation preferred.
    • Previous experience performing general maintenance functions in a similar environment (Minimum 5 years preferred).
    • Previous HVAC experience preferred.
    • Forklift operations and certification (preferred).

    Essential Requirements

    • Able to lift 50 pounds, 4 feet high; and 20 pounds, 5 feet high, without the aid of another person.
    • Able to sit/stand up for up to a full 8-hour shift, in the performance of the position.
    • Able to work around various fumes, odors, chemical agents, and solvents.
    • Able to work in various temperatures and environmental conditions.
    • Able to maintain balance and climb ladders.
    • Able to freely access all areas of store facilities inside and out including sales floor, stocking area, storage area, walk-in coolers and freezers, register area, fuel islands, landscaping, and car wash facilities.
    • Able to operate and use all equipment necessary in the basic function of the position.
    • Able to work with a minimum amount of supervision under stressful conditions.
    • Able to work varied hours/days as business dictates.
    • Able to communicate with associates and customers in the English language.
