Maintenance Engineer

Position Summary

Operates, repairs, and maintains stationary equipment including boilers, generators, and refrigeration in buildings, plants or industrial facilities.

Ensures that equipment is operating safely and within established limits.

How You'll Contribute

• Counsults engineers in developing methods and procedures to improve facility efficiency and work flow.
• Assists engineers in developing methods and procedures to improve facility efficiency and work flow.
• Oversee and review the work of lower-level technicians.
• Attends meetings as required.
• Installs, tests, maintains, and repairs machinery, equipment, and systems as scheduled or needed.
• Performs utility and structural repairs as needed, alone or in collaboration with internal/external tradespersons.
• Inspects, tests, and maintains records for all fire risers, sprinklers, extinguishers, fire doors, and other fire/safety-related equipment and systems.

What Were Looking For

• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• A 3rd Class Boilers License within 6 months of hire.
• At least 1 year of work experience in a similar field.
• Ability to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
• A basic understanding of tools and the proper way to use them, along with a solid mechanical aptitude.
• The ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
