Maintenance Engineer
About the role
The Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for designing and implementing preventive maintenance programs, conducting root cause analyses, and developing repair strategies. The role involves overseeing projects, managing budgets, ensuring compliance, and collaborating to improve efficiency and operational integrity.
To be successful, the candidate should possess a strong engineering foundation, advanced technical troubleshooting skills, proven project management abilities, and a proactive, analytical mindset to minimize downtime and maximize asset life.
Responsibilities
- Performs preventive maintenance and repairs on all mechanical/electrical equipment to include but not limited to boilers, emergency generators, HVAC and related equipment in a quality and timely manner.
- Performs a variety of building maintenance tasks to include the skilled trades as required. (e.g. carpentry, painting, plumbing).
- Completes and maintains accurate records and logs.
- Tests and evaluates equipment prior to putting into service.
- Orders and receives parts and materials to make necessary repairs on related equipment.
Requirements
- Three years of recent, progressively responsible maintenance-related work experience that demonstrates attainment of the requisite job knowledge skills/abilities.
- One year of work experience in the core level of the job family or any combination of experience or education that would demonstrate the ability to perform the duties of the position.
Preferred
- Boiler Operator: WA, upon hire.
