About the role
Join us as a Maintenance Engineer in Pryor, where you will play a key role in ensuring the integrity, reliability, and long-term performance of our plant assets.
Responsibilities
- Develop inspection and maintenance plans for static equipment, targeting damage mechanisms based on criticality,
- Design preventive maintenance tasks for rotating equipment, targeting failure modes based on criticality,
- Provide leadership and technical expertise to solve complex operating and reliability challenges,
- Offer technical guidance and support to less-experienced engineers and maintenance team members,
- Use root cause analysis and failure analysis techniques to eliminate recurring equipment issues,
- Work closely with Millwrights and Maintenance Technicians to review and correct findings from root cause analysis, vibration analysis, oil analysis, and other monitoring activities,
- Lead annual audits focused on maintenance optimization and asset integrity improvement,
- Identify capital needs related to asset integrity and support long-term capital planning,
- Maintain a strong understanding of the history and current condition of static equipment,
- Participate in the development of best practices to ensure asset integrity and reliability,
- Coordinate and participate in inspections of static equipment,
- Lead responses to leaks, failures, and asset integrity issues related to static equipment,
- Lead or participate in the scoping and implementation of small to large capital projects,
- Participate in turnaround scope reviews, inspections, and criticality assessments of unexpected findings,
- Communicate with insurance partners regarding asset integrity, inspection, and maintenance needs as required
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering,
- 8+ years of experience in a manufacturing facility is preferred,
- Solid understanding of engineering principles, process and product technology, and chemical manufacturing environments,
- Advanced knowledge of maintenance, reliability, asset integrity, and mechanical engineering principles,
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to gather data, analyze findings, and draw well-reasoned conclusions,
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to present technical information clearly,
- Proven ability to influence actions, mindsets, and decisions across different teams and levels of the organization,
- Strong teamwork, interpersonal, and collaboration skills,
- Highly organized, with strong time management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities,
- Ability to manage and implement change initiatives and lead engineering or maintenance-related projects
