Scope of Work / Key Duties
- Analyze equipment failures, recurring issues, and performance trends.
- Develop corrective actions and engineering solutions to improve reliability, availability, and maintainability.
- Support predictive maintenance and condition monitoring programs.
- Provide engineering expertise during troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, or instrumentation systems.
- Validate maintenance job plans for technical accuracy and completeness.
- Support the Maintenance Supervisor and craft technicians with complex repairs and technical guidance.
- Evaluate and improve preventive maintenance (PM) strategies and frequencies.
- Develop or update Bills of Materials (BOMs), task lists, and maintenance standards.
- Lead reliability initiatives such as Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM) and Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
- Provide engineering oversight for capital projects, equipment upgrades, and modifications.
- Prepare scopes of work, technical specifications, and cost estimates.
- Carefully coordinate with contractors, vendors, and Owner representatives to ensure proper installation and commissioning.
- Ensure engineering solutions comply with applicable codes, regulations, and Owner policies.
- Support development of job safety analyses and maintenance procedures.
- Review work for adherence to design intent and safety requirements.
- Document all relevant information in SAP asset information, including failure codes and maintenance strategies.
- Support audits, inspections, and technical reporting.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related Engineering discipline.
- Demonstrated knowledge of asset reliability, maintenance best practices, and root cause analysis tools.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical writing skills.
- Proficiency with CMMS systems and standard engineering software tools, SAP preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional Engineering (PE) licensure or Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification.
- Reliability certifications such as CMRP, CRE, or CRL.
- Experience with RCM, FMEA, vibration analysis, or predictive maintenance technologies.
- Experience leading capital or reliability improvement projects.
