Pay

The pay listed is the hourly range or the hourly rate for this position. A specific offer will vary based on applicant’s experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• No experience required and on the job training provided
• No high school diploma, GED or college degree required
• Preferred: One (1) year of similar work experience

About the role

The Utility Building Engineer performs general building engineering duties. This includes general cleaning of engineering spaces, cleaning and/or painting of non-operating mechanical equipment which has been shut down, locked out and tagged by a Journeyman Engineer, preventative maintenance of all assigned areas, and assisting Journeymen Engineers whenever needed. Other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions:

• General cleaning of engineering spaces
• Cleaning and/or painting of non-operating mechanical equipment which has been shut down, locked out and tagged by a Journeyman Engineer
• Perform general labor as assigned by the Chief Engineer or Assistant Chief
• Preventative maintenance of all assigned areas
• Aid Journeymen Engineers whenever needed
• Other duties as assigned
