Responsibilities
- Maintain and repair all pneumatic machines and line equipment.
- Understand all aspects of line and machine operation and offer assistance as needed.
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance as scheduled.
- Conduct advanced diagnostic troubleshooting, complete teardown, rebuild, and remanufacturing of machinery and related systems.
- Execute daily machine checks, lubrication, machine start-up, clean-up, changeovers, and adjustments to maintain operational efficiency.
- Maintain and calibrate microprocessor-based control equipment, general instrumentation, and electrical control systems.
- Read and understand electrical schematic diagrams, industrial three-phase 240V and 480V power distribution, and VFD wiring practices.
- Troubleshoot, program, and/or replace Allen Bradley PLC equipment.
- Perform tests and calibration procedures using test equipment and instrumentation.
- Apply welding techniques (MIG, TIG, Sanitary, Stick, etc.) to various plant operations.
- Operate power tools such as torque wrenches, calipers, and gauges safely and proficiently.
- Ensure accurate parts assignments and equipment histories are maintained.
- Assist in line operations and train operators/mechanics on repairs, adjustments, and standard operating procedures.
- Maintain continuous improvement and comply with all safety requirements.
- Work flexible hours to ensure all equipment is ready for operation, including during breakdowns.
- Act as a trainer to instruct department personnel on equipment use, care, and work phases with minimal conflict.
- Use measuring devices accurately, including tape measures, calipers, micrometers, scales, gauges, and meters.
- Know the appropriate uses for different types of fire extinguishers installed at the facility.
- Maintain records of Lock Out/Tag Out procedures and follow guidelines closely.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
- Follow all applicable ISO procedures and recommend system improvements.
- Keep accurate records, including completion of all required forms.
Requirements
- Industrial maintenance experience.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum of two to three years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Five years of experience required for pay rates of $28/hour and higher.
Pay
$25 to $35 per hour, based on experience.
