What Will You Be Doing At Woodard & Curran?
- Installing and setting up new equipment.
- Installing conduit and wiring.
- Troubleshoot and repair complex control circuits.
- Maintain accurate and current documentation of all modifications, calibrations, and installations of instruments, control devices, and electrical and test equipment.
- Aid other staff members in the performance of their assignments as directed by the Maintenance Chief.
- Perform housekeeping duties in the maintenance department and on maintenance vehicles as assigned by the Maintenance Chief.
- Perform all work in a safe and professional manner by following established safety, operating, and emergency response procedures.
What You Will Need To Succeed:
- Must have five years’ experience in industrial/commercial electrical systems, instrumentation and/or electronics.
- Must possess a valid Journeyman electrician license.
- Must possess experience working with both low and medium voltage electrical equipment.
- Requires effective written and verbal communication skills; a strong scientific and mechanical aptitude; and the ability to read, interpret, and record data from meters, gauges, scales, panels, and other equipment.
- Requires the ability to carry out verbal and written instructions.
- Work positions include working with hands extended above head 18 inches (10%) and 30 inches in front of body (50%), squatting or kneeling (20%), and performing administrative tasks (20%).
- Must be able to lift and carry 40 pounds while walking distances of 25 feet.
- Must possess a valid Florida driver's license, have a safe driving record, and be able to operate vehicles with automatic transmission and four-wheel drive.
- Willingness to work schedules which may include weekend or holiday duty, carry a company provided cell phone, and be willing to respond to emergencies at any time.
- Requires working in outside and inside environments with noise and all temperatures and climatic and environmental conditions; and must be able to work under adverse weather conditions for extended periods of time.
Schedule:
Monday – Friday, 1st shift. Flexibility and extended shifts to meet the seasonal demands of the collection system. Reliable and dependable attendance is an essential function of the position. Availability for standby duty and the ability to be “on-call,” working evenings, weekends and holidays as needed. Response to emergency events and alarm callouts required as scheduled and required.
Pay:
$38 - $42 an hour Depending On Qualifications And Experience. Annual Project bonuses are awarded each year. Annual Safety bonuses are awarded each year.
